Just in time for summer, Wempe has teamed up with Ulysse Nardin to launch a nautical sports replica luxury watches in bright orange and ultra-light materials as part of its Signature collection. Since 2022, Wempe has been working with renowned watch brands to create limited edition models. The family-owned company's many years of expertise and the needs of its customers go directly into the design process. This is the fifth collaboration for Wempe Signature since 2022 and the second in 2024, with the Diver NET Signature collection being launched tonight in Berlin with Ulysse Nardin in a limited edition of 75 pieces.
Wempe and Ulysse Nardin: connected by a marine chronometer The first watch to be launched in collaboration with Ulysse Nardin is not the famous Freak, as one might expect, but the brand's diving collection. That's because the two companies have something in common. Since its founding in 1846, Ulysse Nardin has been manufacturing marine chronometers, which are renowned around the world and used by the navies of more than 50 countries. replica Jacob & Co. Since 1905, Chronometerwerke Hamburg (taken over by Herbert Wempe in 1938) has been equipping ships with precision watches that are extremely resistant to shocks and temperature differences due to their universal joint construction and precision escapement. After the end of World War II in the 1950s, when Wempe had to gradually resume production, Ulysee Nardin supplied Wempe with movement components such as balance springs, so the two brands have maintained a close and friendly cooperation ever since. After the quartz crisis in the 1980s, Wempe even became the first German franchisee to include Ulysee Nardin watches in its product range.
Diver NET Signature Collection In addition to the reliable marine chronometers of the past, Ulysse Nardin has also become famous for innovative movement designs in recent decades. As early as 2001, the independent watchmaker developed and installed a silicon escapement for the first time in the watch industry. The Diver collection not only fits the brand's nautical DNA, it is also close to the heart of CEO Patrick Pruniaux, himself a passionate diver, sailor and kitesurfer. replica Richard Mille watches
The 44 mm case is made from 95% recycled stainless steel, combined with various materials developed together with Ulysse Nardin. The side parts and the case back are made from Nylo (60%) and Carbonium (40%). Nylo is a polyamide made from recycled fishing nets. Carbonium is a particularly strong and lightweight carbon fiber that is also used in the production of aircraft wings and fuselages. Carbonium produces 40% less environmental pollution than other carbon composite materials. Carbonium is also around 50% lighter, making it perfect for a sporty summer watch. As a true diver's watch, the Diver NET Signature Collection is water-resistant to a depth of 300 meters.
Black and Orange Apart from the characteristic marbled carbon look on the case, the bright orange rubber strap is undoubtedly the visual highlight of this luxury replica watches. There are also orange decorations on the dial, with the small seconds hand and power reserve indicator in orange, which contrasts sharply and harmoniously with the matte black dial. The words "1846", representing the year Ulysse Nardin was founded, are also in orange.
Inside the Diver NET Signature series is the in-house movement UN-118, equipped with date and power reserve indicators, anti-magnetic silicon balance spring, and escape wheel and escapement anchor made of patented DiamonSil. The power reserve is 60 hours.
Although similar models are already available in the core Ulysse Nardin collection, this special edition is particularly exciting for collectors because it is limited to 75 pieces and the ceramic inlays on the case back and bracelet refer to the Signature Edition. The new Diver NET Signature Collection is worn on the aforementioned orange or black rubber strap, both with a double folding clasp made of ceramic and titanium.
